Here kitty....

I'm NOT a cat person, some people are, I'm not, I like dogs, and I'm not ashamed to admit it, where I come from your either on one side or the other. But in a weired twist of fate, I'm adopting a Kitten, (Rusty) well a cat really, here is a year old and having had dogs all my life I'm not sure exactly when a cat stops being a kitten and becomes a cat? But he is pretty gorgeous!
He has recently lost a back leg, but he is a real trooper and the way he runs around the place, you'd think he was meant to have three legs not four.
I'm going through my "New Cat Owner Checklist" getting ready for his big arrival on Sunday night.

Ive got his food at water bowls from a wonderful Australian pottery store Bison they are a bit pricey for pet bowls but since they'll be on display all the time i wanted something nice. Also because there a thick clay they will keep he's water cool all day.

This Cat bed/ scratching post is great, it would look right at home in any design junkies house, if I could find them here is Australia, I'd Defiantly be saving up for one for Rusty.

This Love heart shaped cat bed by kittysville is also very sweet.

I found these beautiful cat accessories on Design Sponge Andi kovel and co.the designers behind esque studio recently teamed up with kattbank. a wonderful cat furniture company, to create some wonderful pieces, like the litter storage bowl at the top of this blog.

This very stylish woman seems to be having a great time at a hip party, I wonder if she knows she's sitting on the cat-litter tray?
I never new there were so many cool things out there for cats... who knows i might be a cat person after all.

glasses

I have always been very reluctant to wear glasses (even though I am completely blind without them.) Its not that I don’t like glasses, completely the opposite, I love them! I have some very amazing vintage glasses that I collect.

But the ones I wear, (at home on the couch, and in the darkness of a cinema only!) I have some that are about 100 years old, I think I was still in Primary school when my parents brought them for me, way to expensive for glasses they told me... little did they know id be wearing them for the next 10 years!

They are lopsided and the prescription is all wrong now as I can’t see to far away even with them on.

So you might ask, if I love glasses so much why all the fuss about not wearing them?! Well the thing is they look all wrong on my face, beautiful works of art turned into glorious disasters the minute they rest on my nose.

But these glasses from Prism!! Wow, if I could only afford them would just about change my life forever, I’m sure even I would look beyond marvelous in these lenses!!! So ladies and gentlemen feel free to donate funds to me here... these little beauties will be mine someday!

Somewhere Soft To Rest My Tired Bones

Most Exciting thing to happen to me so far this year, we are getting a new lounge.... ahhh heaven. Our tiny little home is really coming together, in my mind at least.

If money were no option this Oscar sofa, in a delicious charcoal wool from Matthew Hilton would be perfect. Found on House obsession

This Bosko sofa by Jardan Australia is so close to perfection i can barley control myself, gorgeous and understated and available in just about every combination available, i can just imagine it now, career, success, a house a little bigger then a shoe box and magically, **poff** our small generous sofa grows into a magnificent modular...

Warhol inspiration

Inspiration comes at the strangest moments, today, i have been having a very relaxing day, playing around on the mac, in the photo booth to be exact, and i love this effect, instant Warhol!

>

So, I have a horrible blue bed room,i mean the kind fit for Tonka loving five year old boys, and as its a rental im afraid in stuck with it, but im going to go a little Warhol myself and just go crazy with it, making my own "blue-Room" starting with an old french mirror i have, its currently while and quite chic but its getting the blue treatment before it goes anywhere near my room! tried to find a pic on the net till its finished but alas no one seems to share my vision so ill update the post later, in the meantime here are some "blue-rooms i love!"

Blue Room August 2001
"I am interested in what we have, what we buy, what we store, and what we throw away. This image shows one of two rooms that I filled with items being thrown away. All the items were found on the street, or given to me by a local Salvation Army, because "on one would buy them". I painted every item a matte blue, and priced each piece accordingly: height x width x length"

The Blue Room - Trinity Club Seattle.
The Blue Room is the fun, flirty side of Trinity. Royal blue with white accents, including a sparkle-infused blue dance floor, the style is reminiscent of '50's-era retro-modern, with a nod to the overstated style of a Roger Moore James Bond film. The Blue Room also features computer-controlled LED lighting system suspended from the ceiling and a custom designed DJ booth.

Found this pic on a great little blog, called "head over heels"
